Francesca Fabbri is Head of Skills and Post-16 Delivery at the Department for Education. Before this she has worked in HM Treasury, and the Implementation Unit at the Cabinet Office.
She received her PhD in Economics from University College London. Her thesis is on “Immigrants’ Performance, Welfare and Reception: An Economic Analysis for the UK”. In 2001, within her PhD programme, she was awarded the Frederick-Bonnart-Braunthal Scholarship for her research into the determinants of racial intolerance in Britain. On that occasion she first met Frederick Bonnart-Braunthal.
Francesca is married and has two children. Her other interests include literature, music, cinema, trekking and cycling.
